Project results short video series: Murine model ex-vivo OCT database
As part of the commitment of the PICCOLO project to make openly accessible scientific data, a Murine model ex-vivo OCT database has been generated for its publication. With 940 C-scans volumes and over 260,500 B-scan images, the database contains murine samples from healthy tissue, hyperplastic polyps, neoplastic polyps and unknown (polyp adjacent) tissue.
This novel database, which has been acquired with a commercial OCT system, can be used with advanced machine learning algorithms to develop new non-invasive in-situ optical biopsy applications for colorectal cancer.
It represents a unique Open Access human murine ex-vivo OCT database for colorectal cancer, freely accessible by researchers and clinicians. The terms and details of this output will be openly accessible through publications in scientific journals at the scientific community´s disposal.
